The Coast Club is a competitive Snowboard Club located on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. We are a sanctioned club with BC snowboard team and the Clubs main disciplines are Speed & Style.
The Coast Club is a group of Riders looking for the next step in there development as a snowboarder. Riders that have zipped through the snow school programs. Riders that want to be competitive and start getting noticed within the industry as one of Canada's best! Don't want to be competitive? That's ok. Even to just get more days on snow with a coach this club is for you.
Our Club has an age range of 8+ with a group ratio of 1 coach to 5 athletes (max 1-6 ratio). We will have a standard 36-40 days on snow a season. On snow Training will be 9:30 am - 3:00 pm Saturday, Sunday and parts of Christmas/ Spring Break at Mount Washington Alpine Resort. Within the season you will have the opportunity to train for Speed and Style competitions. Our Coaches will offer video analysis for rider improvement, video/picture content for riders portfolios, web/social page publicity and coaching from our Islands top certified coaches with certified NCCP training.
Being apart of the Club gives you access to travel to train or travel to compete. This means coached competitions and development camps. Our Club will attend Speed and Style competitions throughout British Columbia with a chance at provincial and national level as well. This will give athletes a chance to show there skill and also learn from other riders and coaches throughout the country and still ride with there normal shred group.
The Coast Club continues to watch athletes meet their goals, making life long friendships and go from the Islands best to some of the best in Canada!
Competitions will occur throughout the season and we encourage all athletes to attend. Competitions will be coached by Coast Club coaches and will provide our athletes the best shot at the podium! Athletes have the chance to compete at BC Snowboard events and nationals if qualified. This is an awesome way for riders to showcase their talent within the industry. All athletes must have valid BC Snowboard Membership to participate in club activities.
When the Resort is shut and everything is quite on the hill. BC Snowboard hosts a Development Camp at our home resort. Highly recommended and a low cost camp for us islanders being at home. The Camp runs Mid April and athletes may attend 4 or 8 days of the camp! This Camp has an awesome boardercross and slopestyle training.
Canada Snowboard's seven day Youth Performance Camp. Grab your boards and meet us on the Holy Bowly course at Sunshine Village, for a week of skill development on unique style features and good spring vibes. By bringing together clubs, coaches and riders from across the country along with Canada Snowboard High Performance coaches, this week-long adventure provides an epic opportunity for both coaches and riders to celebrate our sport and grow as a community.
Plan in advance and we can save on accommodations and more. This camp usually is the first week of May.
The Coast Club plans to attend Air house to Train on the trampoline and improve air awareness. These sessions will take place either once a week or every other week depending on our schedule. Training will start early fall and run throughout the snowboard season. this is highly recommended.

Our training will take place either outside at a track (weather permitted) or there are a couple different facilities throughout the valley we can use when its raining.
